Water System Flushing Notice

The Wynndel Irrigation District will be conducting routine water system flushing to maintain water quality and ensure the reliable operation of the distribution system.

During flushing activities, residents may experience temporary brown or discolored water and occasional fluctuations in water pressure. This discoloration is caused by the disturbance of naturally occurring sediment within the water mains.

If you notice discolored water, please run your cold water taps for 5–10 minutes, or until the water runs clear. To prevent discolored water from entering your hot water tank, use only cold water taps when flushing your household plumbing.
